Obverse: The central image on the obverse is a crown, the visual mint mark of the company. Inscribed above the crown is the name of the mint "*CALIFORNIA CROWN MINT*". The weight, purity, and content of "ONE OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER" can be found inscribed below the central image.

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse are the scales, a common motif found on many trade unit silver rounds. Sprigs of ivy flank the scales to either side. The inscription located at the top is "THE INTERNATIONAL" and it is matched by "SILVER TRADE UNIT" which is centered at the bottom. The content of "ONE TROY OUNCE" is inscribed below the top inscription and the purity of ".999 FINE" is inscribed immediately above the scales.
