2019 1 Oz North American Mint Apollo 11 Splash Down Round PF

One of a set of 8 rounds commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Lunar program. Limited to 5,000 minted sets.

Obverse: The obverse depicts the Apollo 11 capsule floating in the water after splashdown. The three astronauts can be seen on the life raft. The outer rim is inscribed with the time and coordinates of the landing.

Reverse: The central image on the reverse is an eagle landing on the moon. The earth can be seen in the background. The dates "1959" and "2019" are inscribed on either side of the image. The upper inscription reads "APOLLO 11" while the lower one says "50TH ANNIVERSARY".  The outer rim contains the weight of  “ONE OUNCE" and the purity and content of "999+ FINE SILVER”. Each inscription is repeated twice and separated by four stars.

Edge: The edge is reeded except for a smooth section at the bottom of the round which contains a four-digit serial number.
