2000 1 Oz Black Hills Sturgis Dollar Round PF

This round was issued to commemorate the 60th Annual motorcycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. The motorcycle rally is an annual event taking place around the Black Hills area of South Dakota. The mint and mintage are unknown but the round is uncommon.  

Obverse: The design on the obverse is the official logo of the 60th Annual Black Hills Race and Rally in 2000. It depicts a stylized Indian headdress. At the top, the head of an eagle can be seen with mountains in the distance. Feathers and bison are incorporated into the design along with a pair of motorcycle riders. Several inscriptions are found including "BLACK HILLS MOTOR CLASSIC", "STURGIS", and "2000 60TH ANNUAL RALLY & RACES BLACK HILLS S.D.".

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is a depiction of motorcycle riders with Mount Rushmore in the distance. Inside the circle towards the top is the composition of ".999 FINE SILVER". The weight of "ONE OUNCE" and the years "1938 * 2000" are located at the bottom. Text circumscribes the central image and reads "SOUTH DAKOTA * THE*STURGIS*DOLLAR * BLACK HILLS".
