Obverse: The design on the obverse depicts a pioneer holding a Sharps rifle. A pack mule stands nearby. Inscribed at the top is the word "SHARPS".
Reverse: The central feature of the reverse is text that describes the invention of the Sharps rifle and the new technology it brought. Above the text is the Liberty Bell. An eagle in flight is depicted below.
Edge: The edge is smooth. The purity and content of ".999 FINE SILVER" are inscribed, and a 5-digit serial number can be found at the bottom.
