From a series of 30 medals commissioned by the NRA between 1971 and 1975.
Obverse: The design on the obverse depicts an eagle in flight. Two chicks can be seen in a nest built on a rocky crag. Inscribed at the top is the phrase "NRA LIBERTY RESOURCES".
Reverse: The central feature of the reverse is the logo for the NRA, an eagle resting on a shield with crossed rifles. Below the logo is the text from Article II of the Constitution. An upper inscription contains a quote that reads "THE NATIONS SPORTSMEN AND MEMBERS OF THE NRA HAVE BEEN AMONG THE EARLIEST AND MOST EFFECTIVE SPOKESMEN FOR PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE AND NATURAL RESOURCES".
Edge: The edge is smooth. The purity and content of ".999 FINE SILVER" are inscribed at the top, with a 5-digit serial number located at the bottom.
