Draper Mint produced a variety of Swiss of America rounds in the early 1970s. Later versions had stylized images representing the Swiss Alps. Earlier versions only had text. This round with the text obverse and star reverse is perhaps the second version minted. It is estimated that fewer than 10,000 of these rounds were minted, making them quite rare.
Obverse: The obverse features three lines of text. The text reads "SWISS AMERICA / 1973 / DRAPER MINT".
Reverse: The reverse is simple, containing a star and some text. The weight of "ONE OUNCE" spans the middle of the reverse, with a five-pointed star above it. The purity of ".999+" is located below the weight, with the composition "FINE SILVER" inscribed below that.
