1 Oz Golden State Mint Panda Trade Unit Round BU

Vintage round from Golden State Mint. Harder to find. 

Obverse: The obverse features two panda bears. The panda in the foreground is sitting and eating eucalyptus leaves while another panda walks toward it. The letters "G.S.M" are engraved below the central image.

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the trade scales, an image found on many trade unit silver rounds. At the top edge the phrase "THE INTERNATIONAL" is inscribed and is continued at the bottom with "WORLD TRADE UNIT". The content "ONE TROY OUNCE" is inscribed immediately below the top inscription. The scales are flanked by sprigs of ivy on either side. Underneath the left scale, the weight "31.1 GRAMS" is inscribed, which is matched by "480 GRAINS" located beneath the right arm of the scale. The base of the scale contains the initials "G.S.M.".
