1/4 Oz American Mint 1916 Liberty Quarter Replica Round BU

Rare round!

Obverse: The design on the coin's obverse was taken from the "Standing Liberty" design by Hermon A. MacNeil, which originally had been used in the Standing Liberty quarter of the United States from 1916 to 1930. The design depicts Liberty standing in a gateway with the right breast exposed, holding a branch in her right hand and a shield in her left. The phrase "LIBERTY" is inscribed above while "IN GOD WE TRUST" is lettered on the parapet on each side. The date "1916" is on a pedestal beneath her feet.  To the right of the lowest star on the left is the letter R, indicating that this is a replica.

Reverse: The reverse was designed by Hermon A. MacNeil as well and portrays an eagle flying to the right, with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" inscribed above. The denomination of "QUARTER DOLLAR" is inscribed below the eagle. Seven stars are found to the left around the rim and six to the right.
