Description
Two Kookaburras sitting on a branch.
Obverse: The obverse depicts the Jody Clark design of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Royal Diadem crown on her head. She is encircled by text around the outer rim which includes her name "ELIZABETH II", the name of the issuing country "AUSTRALIA", and the face value of the coin "1 DOLLAR".
Reverse: The common motif is a kookaburra in its native habitat. The background has a smooth, frosted finish. The phrase "THE AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA" is inscribed along the outer rim at the top. Continuing around the outer rim is the inscription "1 OZ. 999 SILVER 2001" denoting the weight, content, purity, and year.
