1985 1 Oz Liberty Mint USS Constitution Round BU

The first silver round minted by Liberty Mint.

Obverse: The obverse depicts the ship USS Constitution with waves breaking across the bow.  The name of the ship "U.S.S. CONSTITUTION" is inscribed beneath the image.  To the left of the ship on the outer rim the phrase "HONEST VALUE" is inscribed.  It is matched on the right by the phrase "NEVER FAILS".  The date of "1985" is located at the lower right.

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the text from Section 10 of the US Constitution concerning the satisfaction of debts with gold and silver.  The outer rim is taken up with the inscriptions of the mint's name "** LIBERTY MINT **" and the weight, purity, and content of "ONE TROY OUNCE *** 999+ FINE SILVER".
