1 Oz Alaska Mint Eagle Double Sided Gold Relief PF

Obverse: The central image is an eagle. In the background is an outline of the state of Alaska. The phrase "ALASKA" is inscribed above the eagle along the outer rim.  The eagle and the outer rim are gilded with 24K gold plating and the state is frosted.  The round is proof-like.

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is a landscape representing the wilderness of Alaska. The sun sets over the distant mountains. A cabin sits alongside a lake with a moose on the other bank.  An eagle can be found soaring in the sky.  Along the outer circle at the top "* * *  ALASKA  * * *" is inscribed.  "LAND OF THE MIDNIGHT SUN" is inscribed on the outer rim along the bottom. The mountains and land are gilded with 24K gold plating.  The river and sky are silver.

Edge: The inscription along the edge reads " ALASKA MINT 1 OZ .999 FINE SILVER". The edge is gilded with 24K gold plating.
