First year of new obverse. Limited mintage of 10,000.
Obverse: The obverse features the Ghanian Coat of Arms. The coat of arms is a shield divided into four quarters, with two eagles supporting it, and a gold lion in the center, all on a St. George's Cross. The top left quarter depicts a crossed linguist staff and ceremonial sword on a blue background, representing local administration. The top right quarter shows a heraldic castle on a sea, representing the national government. A cocoa tree, symbolizing the agricultural wealth of the country, is found in the bottom left corner, while a mine shaft, representing the mineral wealth of the country, is at the bottom right. The black black five-pointed star, rimmed with gold, positioned on a wreath colored with red, gold, and green, symbolizes the country's independence. The motto "FREEDOM AND JUSTICE" appears below the shield. The background features a textured surface that mimics the look of a leopard's spots. On the outer edge encircling the coat of arms effigy from left to right across the top is the composition of ".999 FINE SILVER", the denomination of "20 CEDIS", and the weight of "1 TROY OZ". The issuing country, "REPUBLIC OF GHANA", is inscribed at the bottom.
Reverse: The reverse depicts the leopard in various forms. The issue from 2023 depicts the front-facing leopard staring ahead intently. The date "2023" is inscribed at the bottom. No other inscriptions are found on the reverse.
