Second year of issue with a low mintage of 15,000.

Obverse: The obverse features the Coat of Arms for Equatorial Guinea. The center shield depicts a large baobab tree. Six six-pointed stars arch above the shield. A banner below the shield contains the words "UNIDAD PAZ JUSTICIA". The background mimics the skin of a giraffe with its texture. The upper inscription around the outer circle bears the name "REPUBLIC OF GUINEA ECUATORIAL" while the lower inscription denotes the denomination of "1000 FRANCOS CFA".

Reverse: The reverse features a male giraffe grazing on the savannah. The rest of the herd can be seen in the distance. Clouds float lazily across the sky with a baobab tree depicted at the left. The upper right quadrant of the outer circle specifies the name of the series "GIRAFFE" followed by the year "2022". The weight of "ONE OUNCE" is inscribed on the right, while the composition of "999 FINE SILVER" is on the left. Geometric designs and lines decorate the outer circle.
