Description
Obverse: The obverse portrays the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is the longest reigning monarch in British history, surpassing her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria I for the title. This sixth-generation design from Jody Clark of the Royal Mint was created in 2018. Around the edge are the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA ", and the face value of "1 DOLLAR".
Reverse: The reverse features a close-up view of the head of the wedge-tailed eagle. The massive skull of the predator is depicted with its large, powerful beak open and its steely gaze fixed on something in the distance. Along the outer rim at the top is the inscription "AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE". The lower inscription denotes the year, weight, purity, and content of "2022 1 OZ 9999 SILVER". The mint mark "P" is located along the outer rim to the right.
