2021 1 Oz Niue Czech Lion BU

The Niue Czech Lion is the Czech Mint's first foray into bullion products. This limited mintage series began in 2017 and is intended as an investment. Since Niue had secured the rights to issue Czech bullion coins, this series is minted under those rights. This is the 5th year of issue with a mintage of 10,935.

Obverse: The obverse features the head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right. The Queen wears the "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" diamond tiara. In small letters below the head, the artist's initials "IRB" can be found. Around the effigy is the inscription "ELIZABETH II · NIUE ISLAND · 2 DOLLARS · 2021". Surrounding the central image is a relief pattern of a "flaming eagle" on a shield. The mint mark of the Czech Mint, a crowned monogram of the letters "ČM", is located at the lower right.

Reverse: The reverse depicts a lion's head, crowned with the crown of St Wenceslas. At the left, facing outward, is the inscription "ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA". Located at the right are the weight and purity of "1 OZ AG 999". Below the central image is a sprig of linden, the Czech national tree.
