Obverse: The obverse features the Coat of Arms for Equatorial Guinea. The center shield depicts a large baobab tree. Six six-pointed stars arch above the shield. A banner below the shield contains the words "UNIDAD PAZ JUSTICIA". The background mimics the skin of a giraffe with its texture. The upper inscription around the outer circle bears the name "REPUBLIC OF GUINEA ECUATORIAL" while the lower inscription denotes the denomination of "1000 FRANCOS CFA".

Reverse: The reverse features the two giraffes. Clouds float lazily in the background. The upper right quadrant of the outer circle specifies the name of the series "GIRAFFE" followed by the year "2021". The weight of "ONE OUNCE" is inscribed at the bottom while the composition of "999 FINE SILVER" is on the left.
