Description
Obverse: The obverse portrays the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is the longest reigning monarch in British history, surpassing her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria I for the title. This is the fifth-generation design from Ian Rank-Broadley of the Royal Mint and was created in 1998. Around the edge are the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA ", and the face value of "1 DOLLAR".
Reverse: The reverse portrays the Golden Eagle Nugget discovered in 1931. Lines radiate outwards from the center giving the impression of light. Along the outer rim at the top is the inscription "AUSTRALIAN NUGGET". The lower inscription denotes the year, weight, purity, and content of "2021 1 OZ 9999 SILVER". The mint mark "P" is located along the outer rim to the right.
