Obverse: The obverse displays the right-facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth designed by Jody Clark. Inscriptions encircling the rim include "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA 2020", and the denomination of "1 DOLLAR".
Reverse: The reverse depicts a Sumatran Tiger splashing along through a shallow pool of water. The tiger is finely detailed, its head is raised high and turned, looking back over its left shoulder. Droplets of water shimmer in the sunlight. Inscriptions at the rim include, "AUSTRALIA ZOO", "SUMATRAN TIGER", and the weight, purity, and content of "1 OZ 999 AG".
