2018 1 Oz Niue Roaring Lion BU

First year of issue for the series.

Obverse: The obverse contains the familiar right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen wears the "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" diamond tiara. The designer's initials "IRB" can be found below the portrait. Surrounding the effigy from the lower left in a clockwise direction are the phrases "ELIZABETH II", "NIUE", and the denomination of "TWO DOLLARS". The date "2018" is located at the bottom. The background is patterned with thin lines radiating from the center.

Reverse: The reverse of the coin depicts a majestic Roaring Lion in an attack stance, his front left paw and forearm stretched out while he erupts in a dominant roar. The Aleph Tav Symbol תא underneath the beast's feet reveals his identity as the Lion of Judah. State-of-the-art micro-engraving can be seen in the mane of The Roaring Lion. The engraving reads "AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE". The weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE" is inscribed at the bottom of the round, while the composition of ".9999 FINE SILVER" is found on the lower right near the edge.
