2017 1 Oz Cayman Islands Marlin BU

First year of issue for the Cayman Islands Marlin.

Obverse: The obverse design on the Cayman Islands Marlin Silver Coins includes the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is featured here in right-profile relief in a design from Ian Rank-Broadley. This bust of the Queen was created in 1998 for the Royal Mint of England as its fourth-generation design. The background field features calm ocean waters. The outer rim of the design field includes waving sea lines. Inscriptions along the outer rim are "ELIZABETH II • CAYMAN ISLANDS • 1 DOLLAR" and the year.

Reverse: The reverse design features the powerful marlin as it leaps from the sea. The Cayman Islands coat of arms is located at the top. The year "2017" is inscribed along the outer rim at the lower left while the weight, purity, and content of "1 OZ 999 SILVER" are inscribed at the lower right.
