2016 1 Oz Congo Lion BU

Second year of the African Lion series.

Obverse: On the obverse face of the coin you'll find the image of a male lion closely guarding a female member of the pride. The two creatures are depicted with menacing looks on their faces, and the male lion's mane is massive, taking up much of his facial area. The lone engraving on this face reads "AFRICAN LION".

Reverse: The reverse face of the coin bears the coat of arms of the Republic of Congo. Engravings include the year of issue "2016" at the bottom. The weight, purity, and metal content of "1 OZ 999 SILVER" are located at the lower right while the denomination of "5,000 FRANCS" is inscribed at the lower left. The upper inscription above the coat of arms reads "REPUBLIQUE DU CONGO".
