2015 1 Oz Gabon Springbok BU

Limited mintage of 30,000.

Obverse: The obverse depicts a left-facing springbok loping through the prairie grass. The title of the series "THE AFRICAN SPRINGBOK" is located at the top. The central image splits the date with "20" to the left and "15" to the right. The privy mark of "50TH ANNIV" is located in a circle to the left.  The lower inscription denotes the weight, purity, and content of ".999 FINE SILVER 1 OZ".  

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is the coat of arms of Gabon. The shield is supported by two black panthers and an okoumé tree symbolizing the timber trade. The ship represents Gabon moving towards a brighter future. The coat of arms is unusual in having two ribbons with mottos in two different languages. The name of the issuing country "REPUBLIQUE GABONAISE" is inscribed at the top and the denomination of "1000 FRANCS CFA" can be found at the bottom.
