2015 1 Oz Burundi Lion BU

First year of the African Lion series.

Obverse: The obverse of the coin bears the coat of arms for Burundi. It features a forward-facing male lion with the phrase "UNITE~TRAVAIL~PROGRES"  inscribed on a banner below the image. The issuing authority "REPUBLIQUE DU BURUNDI" and the year "2015" are inscribed above the image of this coin. The denomination of "5000 FRANCS" and the purity and content of "1 OZ .999 SILVER" can be found at the bottom.

Reverse: The reverse of the coin features a pair of adult lions sitting in the Serengeti gazing over their territory alert to anything that moves. The term "AFRICAN LION" and the year "2015" are superimposed on the image.
