This is a major error and quite rare. While an estimated 38,000 were minted, the availability indicates that far fewer than this were struck. For every 20 Britannia errors with the 2014 Lunar obverse, there exists one 2014 Lunar error with the Britannia obverse. The rim of the obverse should have no denticles around the edge. Instead, the obverse from the Britannia's with denticles around the rim was used. T
Obverse: The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Her Majesty the Queen, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The queen's title "ELIZABETH · II · D · G" is inscribed on the left. Along the rim to the right is the Latin inscription "REG · FID · DEF". The denomination of "2 POUNDS" is located at the bottom. The artist's initials "IRB" are inscribed below the neck of the monarch. The rim contains denticles but should not.
Reverse: The reverse design consists of a galloping Horse set against the background of the pre-historic Uffington White Horse located in Oxfordshire. The lettering on the coin reads "YEAR OF THE HORSE · 2014" in addition to details of the composition "1 OZ FINE SILVER .999". The Chinese character for Horse (馬) is displayed near the center. Several coins were mistakenly struck with the incorrect die. Around 38,000 of the Lunar Horse coins were struck with an obverse intended for the Britannia series while 17,000 Britannia coins were stuck with the obverse for the Lunar series.
