Saltwater Crocodile
Obverse: The central design is Queen Elizabeth II as depicted by Ian Rank Broadley. She is encircled by an inscription bearing her name "ELIZABETH II", the name of the issuing country "AUSTRALIA", and the face value of the coin "1 DOLLAR."
Reverse: The motif celebrates fauna from the Australian outback, the saltwater crocodile. The inscription at the top identifies the animal. The inscription beneath the central image of "2014 1 OZ 999 SILVER" identifies the year, date, purity, and content of the coin.
