Two koalas in a tree. A special privy mark of the Berlin Bear was issued to commemorate the World Money Fair.
Obverse: The obverse depicts the Jody Clark design of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Royal Diadem crown on her head and the Victorian coronation necklace around her neck. She is encircled by text around the outer rim which includes her name "ELIZABETH II", the name of the issuing country "AUSTRALIA", and the face value of the coin "1 DOLLAR".
Reverse: The motif is a koala in its native habitat, usually resting on a branch. The background has a smooth, frosted finish. The phrase "AUSTRALIAN KOALA" is inscribed along the outer rim at the top. Below the central image is the inscription "2011 1 OZ 999 SILVER" denoting the year, weight, content, and purity. The Perth Mint mint mark "P" is located near the outer edge of the background.
