Reverse of 2009 with 2010 obverse error. A bull elephant with a sunset in the background. Extremely rare!
Obverse: The obverse depicts the coat of arms for Somalia. The coat of arms consists of a shield with a single star that is being held by two upright leopards, which are standing on large crossed spears below them. “SOMALI REPUBLIC” is inscribed above the shield and the face value of "100 SHILLINGS below it. The year the coin was minted, "2010", is split on either side of the shield with the first two digits to the left and the last two to the right.
Reverse: The 2010 reverse features a bull elephant on the Serengeti. The 2009 reverse featuring a bull elephant with a sunset in the background was erroneously paired with the 2010 obverse. The phrase “AFRICAN WILDLIFE” is inscribed at the top while “ELEPHANT” can be found at the lower left. The weight and composition of "1 OZ AG 999" are inscribed at the lower right.
