Issued to commemorate the bicentennial anniversary of the lighthouse at Montauk Point on Long Island. Mintage is unknown but the round is seldomly seen.
Obverse: The obverse depicts the lighthouse at Montauk Point. A ship can be seen sailing across choppy waters by the lighthouse. The name "MONTAUK POINT" is engraved at the top with "LONG ISLAND" spelled out at the bottom. The date of "1795" is split by the central image.
Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is Long Island. Sea creatures that live in the waters off of Long Island, such as whales, sharks, and fish, are depicted around the island. The weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE" is inscribed at the top. The purity and content of ".999 FINE SILVER" are micro-inscribed beneath the whale shown at the top. The name of the mint "OXFORD" is inscribed below the island and the phrase "REFINERS OF PRECIOUS METALS" can be found below that.
