1991 1 Oz Liberty Bell Mint Desert Victory Round BU

Hard to find vintage round.  Gold plated.

Obverse: The central feature on the obverse is the great seal of the United States, an eagle clutching both arrows and an olive branch. Above the seal are the designations for the military branches of the United States, "USA, USN, USMC, USAF, USCG". Beneath the seal is the text "DESERT VICTORY" and immediately below that is the inscription denoting the weight, purity, and content of "1 OZ .999 FINE SILVER". The inscription encircling the central motif reads "UNITED STATES MILITARY / OPERATION KUWAIT THEATRE".

Reverse: The central feature of the reverse is a statement by President George Bush which reads "KUWAIT IS LIBERATED / IRAQ'S ARMY IS DEFEATED / OUR MILITARY OBJECTIVES ARE MET". Beneath the quote is the text "PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH / COMMANDER IN CHIEF / FEBRUARY 17TH, 1991". Immediately below the text is a rectangular area designed for engraving. As on the obverse, at the bottom is the text "DESERT VICTORY" and immediately below that is the inscription denoting the weight, purity, and content of "1 OZ .999 FINE SILVER". The inscription encircling the central text reads "UNITED STATES MILITARY / OPERATION KUWAIT THEATRE".
