1988 1 Oz Pegasus Gold Corp Silver Pegasus Round PF

The Silver Pegasus series depicts mines and events relating to the Pegasus Gold Corp business. Proof rounds were issued each year from 1984 through 1995. Mintages are unknown but the rounds are uncommon.

Obverse: The obverse depicts the Relief Canyon Mine owned by Pegasus Gold Corp. The upper inscription reads "PEGASUS GOLD CORPORATION" while the lower inscription gives the name of the mine "RELIEF CANYON MINE". The weight of "ONE TROY OUNCE"  is located to the left while the purity and content of ".999 FINE SILVER" can be found on the right.

Reverse: The back features the common obverse for the series from 1984 through 1992. A winged Pegasus is shown flying to the right. The sun with its rays creates the backdrop. The phrase "ONE SILVER PEGASUS" arches across the top with the inscription "PROOF LIMITED EDITION" inscribed at the bottom. The date of "1988" is located on the right.
