1987 1 Oz Nevada Metallurgical Inc Silver Miner Round BU

Minted by Nevada Metallurgical Inc. from silver reclaimed from e-waste, photo-chemicals, and mine tailings. Limited mintage uncommon round.

Obverse: The obverse features a miner working in a mineshaft.  He holds a pickaxe while a lamp lights up the darkness. The upper inscription reads "THE SILVER STATE &bull: HOME OF THE NEVADA MINER". The purity and content of "999+ FINE SILVER" are found in the lower inscription. Two five-pointed stars separate the inscriptions.

Reverse: The reverse features the logo of the company.  It contains the letters "NMI" embedded in a circle. Twenty-four stars decorate the outer edge. The upper inscription bears the company name "NEVADA METALLURGICAL INC." A lower inscription of "ONE OUNCE SILVER MINER" specifies the weight and the series name. The date "1987" can be found on the left and the mint run "01" is located on the right.  

Edge: The edge is reeded except for a smooth surface at the top. A 3-digit serial number is etched onto that surface.
