Description
This is the most well-known of the Hoffman & Hoffman rounds. This obverse was paired with the Trade Unit reverse in the 1970's.
Obverse: The obverse depicts a prancing unicorn facing left. The company name "HOFFMAN AND HOFFMAN" occupies the outer rim while the company's logo is depicted at the bottom.
Reverse: The reverse is simple and bears only text expressing the purity, weight, content, and date of the round. From top to bottom, it reads "ONE OZ. / FINE SILVER / .999+ / 1981". Small circular denticles decorate the outer edge of the rim.
