1981 1 Oz Hoffman & Hoffman Liberty Round BU

Although no mint mark is present, both the obverse and reverse on this round were used exclusively by Hoffman & Hoffman in the 1970s and 1980s. This is a rare Hoffman & Hoffman round with an estimated mintage of less than 1000.

Obverse: The obverse depicts an eagle in flight. The word "LIBERTY" appears at the top. The weight and composition of "1 TROY OZ. 999+ FINE SILVER" is inscribed at the bottom. Two stars decorate the rim to the left and the right. 

Reverse: The reverse is simple and bears only text expressing the purity, weight, content, and date of the round. From top to bottom, it reads "ONE OZ. / FINE SILVER / .999+ / 1981". Small circular denticles decorate the outer edge of the rim.
