Description
Obverse: The central image on the obverse depicts a replica of a US stamp from 1963 celebrating the city mail delivery within the US Mail system. The stamp depicts a mail carrier delivering mail during a rain storm. The inscription at the top reads "113TH ANNIVERSARY". The beginning and end anniversary dates are located at the bottom and the inscription immediately above them reads "FREE CITY DELIVERY". Sprigs of ivy decorate the lower left and lower right of the round.
Reverse: The reverse features a textual inscription relating to the free delivery of mail. Above the text are the dates 1863-1976 while beneath the inscription is the logo of the US Postal Service.
Edge: The edge is reeded except for a small smooth space which contains a serial number and the the purity and content of ".999 F.S.".
