Description
Obverse: The central image on the obverse depicts a replica of a US special delivery stamp. The mail carrier running to deliver the mail. The inscription at the top reads "90TH ANNIVERSARY" and immediately below "EXPEDITING THE MAILS". The beginning and end anniversary dates are located at the bottom and the inscription immediately above them reads "SPECIAL DELIVERY". Sprigs of ivy decorate the lower left and lower right of the round.
Reverse: The reverse features a textual inscription relating to the special delivery within the US Mail system. Above the text are the dates 1885-1975 while beneath the inscription is the logo of the US Postal Service.
Edge: The edge is reeded except for a small smooth space which contains a serial number and the purity and content of ".999 F.S.".
