1973 1 Oz Constitution Mint USS Constitution Round BU

First silver round minted by the Constitution Mint.

Obverse: The obverse depicts the ship USS Constitution with waves breaking across the bow.  The name of the ship "U.S.S. CONSTITUTION" is inscribed beneath the image.  To the left of the ship on the outer rim the phrase "HONEST VALUE" is inscribed.  It is matched on the right by the phrase "NEVER FAILS".  The date is located to the lower right and the mint mark "C.M." can be found directly below it. 

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is text from Section 10 of the US Constitution relating to the satisfaction of debts with gold and silver.  The outer rim is taken up with the inscriptions of the mint's name "* CONSTITUTION MINT *" and the weight, purity, and content of "CONTAINS ONE TROY OZ PURE SILVER".  The location of the mint "PROVO, UTAH  U.S.A" is micro-printed directly below the name of the mint.
