This round commemorates the admission of Alabama to the United States as the 22nd state in 1819. The origins of this round, including the date, mint, and mintage, are unknown. It is marked with P & C Silver, although nothing is known about that company. It is also marked with SER 999, perhaps linking it to South East Refining rounds located in Panama City. The round is quite scarce.
Obverse: The obverse is a replica of the Morgan dollar. Above the image are 22 stars representing Alabama as being the 22nd state in the Union. The lower inscription reads "STATE * 1819 * HOOD".
Reverse: The reverse shows an outline of the state of Alabama. Three of the main rivers are depicted, along with four stars representing the main cities of Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, and Muscle Shoals. Left of the outline is the inscription "P & C SIL." while underneath is the inscription "SER 999". An inscription along the top edge reads "ALABAMA * HEART OF THE * SOUTH".
