Although no mint mark is present, both the obverse and reverse of this round were used exclusively by Hoffman & Hoffman in the 1970s. Although Hoffman & Hoffman estimate the mintage of this round to be less than 500, based on availability, it appears that more were minted.
Obverse: The obverse depicts an eagle in flight. The word "LIBERTY" appears at the top. The weight and composition of "1 TROY OZ. 999+ FINE SILVER" are inscribed at the bottom. Two stars decorate the rim to the left and the right.
Reverse: The central feature of the reverse is the common motif of trade unit scales. The scales are flanked by coins on the left and a stalk of wheat on the right. The main inscription reads "THE INTERNATIONAL" at the top and is completed by "UNIVERSAL TRADE UNIT" at the bottom. The weight inscriptions are found immediately above and below the scales, with "ONE TROY OUNCE" above and "31.1 GRAMS / 480 GRAINS" below.
