1 Oz Great American Mint Silver Eagle Round BU

Nice proof-like collectible round.

Obverse: The design on the obverse was taken from the "Walking Liberty" design by Adolph A. Weinman, and is used for the American Silver Eagle. It depicts a full-length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. Above the image "LIBERTY" is inscribed and the phrase "IN GOD WE TRUST" can be found in smaller letters to the right. Where the date would have been located on the ASE, the mint mark of GA can be found.

Reverse: The reverse design features the heraldic eagle with a shield, an olive branch in the right talon, and arrows in the left all echoing the Great Seal of the United States. The eagle holds a banner in its beak which is inscribed "E PLURIBUS UNUM". Above the eagle are thirteen five-pointed stars representing the Thirteen Colonies. The reverse is inscribed with the phrase "GREAT AMERICAN MINT" above the eagle and the purity, weight, and denomination of "1 TROY OZ .999 FINE SILVER" located below the eagle.
