Obverse: The obverse depicts Lady Liberty holding a tall staff with the American flag billowing in the breeze. The motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is inscribed at the top. At the right inside a shield are the words "IN GOD WE TRUST". Lady Liberty also bears a sword in her right hand, representing the vigilant effort required to defend the United States. A light-catching micro-engraved background pattern graces the design.

Reverse: The central feature on the reverse is an image of a rattlesnake coiled around a bundle of reeds. The micro-engraved background is the same design as is found on the obverse. Inscriptions of "ONE TROY OUNCE" at the top and ". 999 FINE SILVER" at the bottom denote the weight, purity, and content.
